A Guide to the Community Management of Paediatric Eating Disorders - CPS Podcast

This podcast will discuss a guide to the community management of paediatric eating disorders. After listening to this episode, learners will be able to define what an eating disorder is, list examples of restrictive eating disorders, describe an approach to the workup of an eating disorder in a pediatric patient, list medical complications that can arise secondary to a pediatric eating disorder and recognize the criteria for hospitalization, describe the principles of the family-based-treatment (FBT) approach for the management of pediatric eating disorders, and understand the CPS recommendations aiming to facilitate effective community management of pediatric eating disorders. The podcast was created by Sahaj Puri, a first-year resident in Pediatrics at McMaster University, in collaboration with Dr. Christina Grant, who works in Adolescent Medicine at McMaster University.
