Behcet's Disease

This podcast discusses Behcet’s disease. In it, the listener will learn to recognize the presentation of Behcet’s, its diagnostic criteria, how to conduct a focused history and physical examination for the disease, and which investigations and management options to pursue. The podcast was developed by Levi Ansell, a medical student at the University of Alberta, with support form Dr. Dax Rumsey, a pediatric rheumatologist at the University of Alberta’s Stollery Children’s Hospital.


Viral Rashes

This PedsCases Note provides a one-page infographic on Viral Rashes. It outlines the most common viral rashes seen in the pediatric population and reviews prodrome, transmission, and a description of the appearance of the rash. It was created by Zoe Phillips, a medical student at the University of Saskatchewan, with the help of Dr. Carly Rumley and Dr. Morgan Hewitt.

Kawasaki Disease

This PedsCases Note provides a one-page infographic on the clinical presentation, investigations, lab findings, and management of Kawasaki Disease. It was created by Katharine Jensen, a medical student at the University of Alberta, in collaboration with Dr. Hayley Turnbull, a pediatrician and clinical lecturer at the Stollery Children's Hospital and University of Alberta. This Note is based on the Kawasaki Disease podcast created by Dr. Chris Gerdung and Dr. Melanie Lewis published earlier on pedscases.com.

This podcast presents an approach to the diagnosis and management of molluscum contagiosum in children. Listeners will be able to describe the morphology and treatment of molluscum contagiosum along with indications to refer to a dermatologist.
