This podcast presents a basic overview of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support protocol from the 2015 American Heart Association guidelines. It will review basics of pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation, bag-mask ventilation, advanced airways, defibrillation and post-cardiac arrest care. This episode was written by Colin Siu, a medical student at the University of Alberta, and Dr. Melissa Chan, a pediatric emergency physician and Clinical Lecturer at the University of Alberta and Stollery Children’s Hospital.
