In it, the listener will learn to define hemolytic anemia, explain the pathophysiology, describe the clinical manifestations, list relevant investigations and outline the management of a child with hemolytic anemia. This podcast was created by Prachi Shah, a medical student at the University of Alberta, in collaboration with Dr. Aisha Bruce, a pediatric hematologist at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.

Neonatal Hypoglycaemia - CPS Podcast

This CPS podcast gives an organized approach to neonatal hypoglycaemia, the most common metabolic problem in neonates and the leading cause of admissions to the NICU. This podcast is based on the 2019 Canadian Paediatric Society Statement, "The screening and management of newborns at risk for low blood glucose." It was created by Carina Lauzon, a fourth-year medical student, with Dr. Michael Narvey, co-author of this CPS statement, and neonatologist Dr. Marc-Antoine Landry.


Acyanotic Congenital Heart Lesions - Part 2

This podcast is part two of the two part series on acyanotic congenital heart lesions which describes the pathophysiology of obstructive acyanotic heart lesions including pulmonary stenosis, aortic stenosis, and coarctation of the aorta.
