Routine Immunization Schedule

Children in Canada receive a number of scheduled immunizations through publicly-funded programs.  You can find the up-to-date immunization schedule for all provinces and territories in Canada at the link below:

While the schedule of vaccinations varies between provinces, they receive similar vaccinations.  The following vaccinations are administered in Canada:

  • DTaP/Tdap: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Acellular Pertussis
  • HB: Hepatitis B
  • Hib: Haemophilus Influenzae Type b
  • HPV: Human Papillomavirus
  • Inf: Influenza
  • IPV: Inactivated Poliomyelitis
  • Men-C: Meningococcal conjugate
  • MMR-Var: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (Varicella administered separately in some provinces)
  • Pneu-C-13: Pneumococcal conjugate 13 valent
  • Pneu-P-23: Pneumococcal polysaccharide 23 valent (Only in Nunavut)
  • Rot: Rotavirus (Only offered in some provinces)
